Adventures in Dating

This little mishap only set us back about 20 minutes for our date night with the Albrechts since Mr. Simpleton and Kelly are pretty handy with a jack. But, it was quite embarrassing to sit on the side of the road with a flat tire while all the people behind us on the on-ramp that we flung dirt at as we squealed away, were now passing us...scornfully laughing and pointing.

No, we didn't see them doing it.

But you know they were.

Lesson learned: Never squeal your good clothes or within 100 yards of civilization where people might potentially see you crash and burn later. ;)

My last flat was in Canyonlands. The place that rotated my tires a week earlier forgot to put the key to the locking lug nuts back in my car, so I had to have a guy come 60 miles from Monticello to chisel the sucker off. Major pain.
