2nd Amendment Rights or Wrong?

There's a whole lot of discussion (some thought-provoking and some tyrannical, some passive and some aggressive) going on about our gun rights.
"We should take them away because crazy people are killing innocent people left and right."
"They can't take our guns away because my 2nd Amendment right says so."
"It's for the children and their safety."
"Guns don't kill people, people kill people."

I have my own (very strong) opinion but what say you?
